1. Provisional bookings should be made in the first instance by telephone, fax or online by clicking the "Reserve" button from the Online Availability available for each cottage from the chosen cottage's page
  2. Bookings MUST be made on a Yealm Holidays BOOKING FORM which we can either EMAIL to you as an attachment or be sent to you by post. The Booking Form must be returned within 6 days of your telephone/online reservation to confirm your booking. A booking deposit of 20% of the rent tariff plus a booking fee is payable on booking if the booking is more than six weeks prior to the date of commencement of the holiday.
  3. Six weeks or less prior to the commencement of the holiday, the full amount becomes payable WITHOUT DEMAND. Cheques are payable to 'Yealm Holidays a/c payée' NB:We advise that you pay using a Debit Card or by cheque because Debit Card payments only carry a small bank charge (paid by us) but Credit Cards will charge (you) 2 to 2.5%  If a booking is cancelled in writing more than six weeks prior to the due date of arrival, all efforts will be made by the agent to re-book the cottage for the owner and if successful, your deposit will be refunded less 20% service charge. If not successful, the deposit is forfeit and you may be elligible to claim on your Holiday Cancellation Insurance (see 12).
  4. If a cancellation occurs less than six weeks prior to arrival date booked, the full amount is forfeit unless the agent can re-book the cottage for the owner and 30% service charge will be deducted before any money paid is refunded. If the agent cannot re-book then you may be eligible to claim on your Holiday Cancellation Insurance (see 12).
  5. Please note that a RETURNABLE deposit against damages is payable WITH THE HOLIDAY BALANCE PAYMENT. This will be returned (usually within 2 weeks) after you vacate less any deductions for damages or breakages or missing items howsoever caused or for more than a reasonable amount of cleaning or extra laundry due to staining/soiling or excess use of fuels, allowance for fair wear and tear excepted.
  6. ON NO ACCOUNT WHATSOEVER are the maximum number of 4 persons to be exceeded.
  7. The hiring of the property is between the Hirer and the Owner of the property and YEALM HOLIDAYS is the Agent on behalf of the Owner.
  8. All information is given in good faith, but YEALM HOLIDAYS cannot guarantee against alterations or additions to the information about the properties advertised herein this web site or printed brochure, or verbal information given by telephone or otherwise if the information so given is subject to change by the Owner(s) of the properties concerned.
  9. The Letting Agent can undertake no liability for any Loss, or Damage, Injury, Accident to the Hirer or any member of the Hirer's party whilst in occupation of the property hired, under any circumstances whatsoever.
  10. The Owner of the property and/or his Letting Agent reserve the right to enter the property (at any reasonable time) to carry out necessary additions, repairs or maintenance to the property or its contents, but major works will not be undertaken during any occupation of the property by a hirer, unless in case of dire emergency.
  11. Should, due to unforeseen circumstances, a property become suddenly unavailable for the date hired, all efforts will be made to offer suitable alternatives, but if this is not possible, then all monies paid by the Hirer will be refunded without any deductions whatsoever, but the Agent will not incur any further liability of any kind. In no circumstances will the Agent be liable to refund any amount exceeding the amount paid by the Hirer.
  12. Optional holiday cancellation insurance (from £8.50) can be taken with Travellers Protection Services Ltd, 1 Prince of Wales Road, Norwich, NR1 1AW (Tel: 0845 218 7161) underwritten jointly by a consortium of reputable British Insurance Companies. Please contact them direct, quoting Yealm Holidays.
  13. THE HIRER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR NORMAL CARE OF THE PROPERTY DURING HIS OCCUPATION AND UNDERTAKES TO KEEP IT CLEAN AND TIDY AND TO REPLACE ANY BREAKAGES/PAY FOR ANY DAMAGES HE OR ANY MEMBER OF HIS PARTY HAS CAUSED. THE RETURNABLE DEPOSIT AGAINST DAMAGES/BREAKAGES or EXCESS CLEANING (SEE Clause 6) WILL BE HELD FOR THE HIRER BY THE AGENT (not the property owner) FOR THIS PURPOSE.
  14. KEYS ARE AVAILABLE AT 2.00 P.M. ONLY ON THE DAY YOUR HOLIDAY COMMENCES (AS BOOKED)
  15. ALL COTTAGES MUST BE VACATED BY 10.00 A.M. ON YOUR DAY OF DEPARTURE (AS BOOKED) AND YOUR KEYS are not to be entrusted to a third party but MUST BE RETURNED TO YEALM HOLIDAYS' ADDRESS BY 12 noon latest.
  16. PROPERTY SAFETY: On no account whatsoever may you vacate before the due date of departure (as booked) without first contacting Yealm Holidays to ensure the property is secure. WE REQUIRE 24 HOURS NOTICE MINIMUM. Ring us from the FREE phone at your cottage.
  17. Please LEAVE THE PROPERTY AS YOU FIND IT. Do NOT move furniture around or from room to room. If you do not put things back where you found them on arrival, a charge MAY be made if extra people have to be called in and paid extra to put things right. Cleaning ladies are NOT labourers! IN EMERGENCIES PLEASE RING 01752-872712 FREE from the cottage telephone. 
  18. EARLY DEPARTURES without notice cause emergency call-outs to the properties. A charge of £30.00 will be deducted from the damages deposits. The reason for this is obvious. EG: If the electricity is switched off by however well intentioned a visitor, refrigerators & freezers will defrost and flooding of carpets would result. We also have to be certain that appliances (e.g. fires, tumble driers etc.) are not left on and that cottages are securely locked including all windows.
